Overview About the Department

The MBA programme offered in HKBK College of Engineering is two – year fulltime Post Graduate degree affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), recognised by the Government of Karnataka and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. MBA department, at HKBKCE, has been recognised as a Research Centre by VTU from the academic year 2012 to offer the programme leading to the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). The asset of the department is its Faculties with great knowledge & vast experience.


HKBKCE identified the need for management education due to the convergence of economics & technology and started offering MBA course of VTU in the year 2006. That is a milestone in its journey towards providing quality education. The programme combines management education with Indian values and to uses real time interaction with corporate for value added learning. Today's workforce responds toleadership that follows a coaching or mentoring model. Successful leaders work with the aim of reflecting their innovative methods and unique vision. Keeping in tune with the above change. the department derived a teaching pedagogy that creates leaders for the next generation corporate world.       The department in association with Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre (VTPC), Dept. of Industry & Commerce, Conducted an FDP on WTO &* Preview of the International Trade Landscape on 17th August, 2017.

    Student Development Programmes(SDP) Conducted:

      Advanced Excel training was conducted for the final year MBA students on April 10th, 2018.

      Digital Marketing training was conducted for all MBA students in March 2018.

      A visit to ACE Designers Pvt Ltd., Peenya, Bangalore on 11th October 2017. ACE designers is one of the leading manufacturers with a range of special purpose imprt substution machines for the I C Engine value Industry

      A visit to ROYAL Foods, Cochin, Kerala, on 30th March, 2018. Royal foods is one the leading manufacturers of bakery products in kerala and has around 50 branches all over kerala.

      A visit to NESSO Pvt Ltd,. MYSORE, on 20th November, 2018. NESSO is one of the leading manufacturers of botanical ingredients for Nutraceutical food and beverage & personal care industries.

    Various Other Events Organized:

      MSME sponsored 10 days Entrepreneurship development program (EDP) was hosted and conducted by the department for the students of HKBKCE from 11th Sept to 22nd Sept 2017.

      Seminar on 5S & Life Skills was conducted on 4th November, 2017 by Mr AmulChender, ACE Designers ltd,

      Conducted workshop on Contemporary Management by Prof Dr Vaidyanathan, HOD, HKBK Degree College.

      One-day seminar on Customer Experience management was conducted on 17th November, 2018 by Mr Syed Saifuddin, General Manager, Concentrix, Bangalore.

      Industry Institution Interaction program was organised in presence of Ms LathaUttham of Dell – EMC, Bangalore on 28th November, 2018.
