M. Tech. Computer Science and Engineering programme builds an advanced level technological base in computer science and engineering. It is aimed at preparing computer professionals for research, academics, design and development in hardware and software and co-design technologies. It enables students to analyze, design, develop and evaluate high-end computing systems, undertake challenging projects and carry out research activities.

Most challenging problems in industry and commerce are associated with software development with a set of best practices that can be used to develop better performing and more usable software. The scope of employment includes Software designer, architects, project managers and project tracking leads etc.


M.Tech. in CSE with Specialization in Networking is a two years Master degree course spanning over four semesters with the aim to provide an understanding of advanced concepts in Computer Science & Engineering with special focus on information and communication technologies (ICT). The students will learn to evaluate a range of network technologies, systems and application service. The scope of employment includes Network Developers, Network Analysts and Design engineers, Protocol Stack Developers, Network Architects, Technical Leaders and Managers.


The aim of the course is to provide the necessary theoretical background along with the experimental work experience so as to meet the requirements of the Industries and R&D Organizations concentrating in the area of Optical Communication and Optoelectronics & Laser Technology. The optical industry is huge, largely dominated by display devices like Optical Sensors, LEDs and LCDs. India has good scope for people trained in optical communication.

The curriculum is designed to make the students excel in areas of Optical Fiber Communication, Optical Electronics, Photonic Switching & Networking & Optical Communication System. To build on these strong base students can specialize by choosing electives like, Optical Communication Networks, Modern Digital Communication Techniques, Advanced Digital System Design, Nonlinear Fiber Optics, Laser Applications, Fiber Optic Sensors, Laser Spectroscopy, Integrated Optics, Nanophotonics, Biophotonics & Dye Lasers etc. Students also get an opportunity to do projects in industry based laboratory set up like Optical Fiber Lab and Optical Communication Design & Simulation Lab etc.


M Tech in VLSI Technology offered by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is a two years program having four Terms. The aim of this course is to provide the necessary theoretical background along with the experimental work experience so as to meet the requirements of the Industries and R&D Organizations concentrating in the area of VLSI.
