Overview

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is broad and vibrant discipline in engineering which interfaces with many other subjects in science including physics, computer science and mechanical
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering established in the year 2002 has been consistently accomplishing good results. The department is stretched over an area of 10,000 sft and has eleven well equipped lab beyond the requirement of VTU. The various lab include Analog and Electronics Lab, Op- Amp and LIC lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Microcontroller Lab, Electrical CAED lab, Power System Simulation Lab, Control System Lab, Digital Signal Processing lab, Power Electronics Lab, Relay & High voltage Lab and Basic Electrical Lab

The department is well equipped to train the young graduates in the field of Electrical and Electronics in order to advance their theoretical and practical knowledge.

The EEE department at HKBK has well equipped classrooms, highly qualified teaching faculties and technical strong instructors, ensuring the best learning environment and good exposure to all the students for updating their knowledge.

The department is headed by Professor Sheikh Haroon Safdar having over 24 years of industry and teaching experience. The department has well qualified and highly experienced faculty members with specialization including power electronics, power systems, industrial drives etc. At present Professor M.Soni from the department pursuing Ph.D.

Program Specific Outcomes(PSO's)

    PSO-1 Able to apply the strong fundamentals of Mathematics, Science and Engineering knowledge to identify, formulate, design and investigate complex Engineering problems of Electrical & Electronics Circuits, Control Systems, Electrical Drives Power Converter and Power System that is essential to pursue successful career / Higher Studies.
    PSO-2 Able to apply appropriate techniques and Modern Engineering hardware & software tools in Power Systems, Control Systems, Embedded System and Renewable Energy Sources to engage in lifelong learning and to successfully adopt in multidisciplinary environment.
    PSO-3 Be professionals with leadership qualities, effective communication skills, ethical attitude, achieve competence to excel individually, work efficiently in team and become entrepreneur.
Engineering Knowledge Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
Problem Analysis Identify, formulate, research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
Design/ Development of Solutions Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
Conduct investigations of complex problems Using research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern Tool Usage Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an under- standing of the limitations.
The Engineer and Society Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice.
Environment and Sustainability Understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
