Computer Science and Engineering

Our computer science and engineering program covers all fundamentals and expert subjects that provide holistic learning environment to the students. We have a team of well-qualified and experienced faculty members engaged in research, quality teaching and corporate training programs. The institute has state-of-the-art infrastructure that is at par with the leading institutes and offers a great learning environment and opportunities to the students. The core courses include programming languages, system software, networking technologies, computer architecture and artificial intelligence. We have state-of-the-art advanced labs and teaching aids that encourage students to get hands-on-experience through industrial projects both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The course at HKBK is designed in a way to invoke the ability of students to think innovatively. The students at HKBK College of Engineering have performed well in campus placements. The department lays special focus on the overall personality development of the students and offers additional training programs in different areas of studies.

Eligibility for Computer Science and Engineering

  • Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subject, with a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
  • Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI categories


You can work in database management, IT, embedded systems, Telecommunication, computer hardware & software implementation & maintenance, multimedia, web designing, gaming, and almost all other industries in this sector.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering at HKBK College of Engineering, started in the academic year 1997-98. The department acts as the nurturing ground for young professionals who can make their mark and to create a talent pool for various industries.The basic aim of the department is to maintain excellence in academics as well as research.There is an ample space for classrooms and laboratories to support teaching and learning. The experience and dynamic faculties facilitate the teaching learning process. The classrooms and laboratories with computing systems and visual projection systems provide the basic infrastructure for the department. The laboratories are well equipped with latest components to cater to the curriculum requirement.

There is a departmental library which has approximately 1200 books used by the faculty and students for reference. Currently the intake of department is 180 students.

    PEO-1 :To provide students with a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals and in the computer science and engineering to work in the global scenario.

Lab 01: Ubuntu 16.04 OS is installed for 27 systems. For CGVL Lab OpenGL software is installed and for CN lab NS 2.35 software is installed. The Instructional Area is about 105.4 Sq. mt


Lab 02: Fedora 8 and Windows 7 OS are installed for 27 systems along with the softwares like flex, byacc, java, etc.The Instructional Area is about 102 Sq. mt


Lab 03: Ubuntu 18.04 OS is installed for both the lab subjects along with the necessary softwares like openJDK(for Java Programming), gcc(for C Programming).The Instructional Area is about 105.4 Sq. mt


Lab 04: Windows 7 and MS-DOS OS are installed along with softwares like Keil, Flashmagic, TASM, etc.The Instructional Area is about 105.4 Sq. mt


Lab 05: Ubuntu 16.04 OS is installed for 24 systems for the Project work of the students.The Instructional Area is about 52.6 Sq. mt.


Lab 06: Ubuntu 16.04 OS is installed along with MySQL client and Python packages for both subjects.The Instructional Area is about 52.6 Sq. mt.
