OVERVIEW

Computer Science Engineering is the most popular course for the Engineering aspirants. Computer Science engineering deals with design, implementation, and management of information system of both software & hardware processes. A computer scientist specializes in theory of computation and design of computational systems. The engineers are mainly involved in the development of software and hardware systems of various aspects of computing.

Computer software engineers apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software systems. The tasks performed by these workers evolve quickly, reflecting new areas of specialization or changes in technology, as well as the preferences and practices of employers.

COURSE DURATION

  • Duration: 4 years
  • Semester I and II: Common for all branches

ELIGIBILITY

  • Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subject, with a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
  • Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI categories

SCOPE OF EMPLOYMENT

You can work in database management, IT, embedded systems, Telecommunication, computer hardware & software implementation & maintenance, multimedia, web designing, gaming, and almost all other industries in this sector.

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES

  • PSO-1 : An ability to understand analyze and develop computer programs in the areas related to algorithms, system software, multimedia ,web design ,DBMS and networking for efficient design of computer based systems of varying complexity.
  • PSO-2 : An ability to compete practically and to provide solutions for real world problems with a broad range of programming languages and open source platforms in various computing domains.
